HydroStatic Release For Liferafts

An HRU-LR2 allows a liferaft and/or EPIRP to launch automatically if there is no time for the crew to launch it manually.

Depending on the type of emergency, a vessel could sink very quickly and with little warning. It is therefore important that every liferaft and EPIRP should have an HRU fit to the lashing that secures.
